CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's golf team will close out its fall season with the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Turtle Point on Oct. 23-25 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C.

The 20-team tournament field includes host CofC, Augusta, Boston University, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, Daytona State, Elon, East Tennessee State, Illinois State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Mississippi, North Florida, Northern Arizona, South Florida, Troy, UNCG and Xavier.

The Cougars will start senior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany), junior Josefine Garton (Linkoping, Sweden), senior Vici Drechsler (Munich, Germany), freshman Anna-Theresa Rottluff (Meerbusch, Germany) and graduate senior Mary Fran Hillow (Orlando, Fla.).

Freshmen Victoria Huskey (Greenville, S.C.) and Savanah Goodman (Easley, S.C.) will compete as individuals.

"It has been a hectic few weeks with three tournaments in October," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "During that time, we were out of school and on the road an entire week due to Hurricane Matthew. We have also had to manage mid-terms through it all.

"Having said that, the team looks primed to continue the success we had at Pinehurst a couple of weeks ago. The team has definitely become better as the fall has went along. We look to finish with a strong tournament showing at Kiawah."

The Palmetto Intercollegiate, which began in 1999, will be played for the third time in the history of the tournament at Turtle Point. Furman won last year's tournament title shooting a three-round 875 (+11) followed by runner-up Chattanooga (+18). Yupaporn Kawinpakorn of Kansas claimed individual medalist honors shooting 3-under par for the tournament, while Fuenfstueck was runner-up carding an even-par scorecard.

Sunday's first round and Monday's second round will be split tee times off the No. 1 and No. 10 holes at 8:30 a.m. (ET), while Tuesday's final round will be a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. (ET). Live tournament scoring will be available at: www.Golfstat.com.
