Rain Washes Out Final Day of CofC Classic
11/13/2016 11:09:00 AM | Men's Tennis
CHARLESTON, S.C. – The fall campaign for the College of Charleston men's tennis team came to a premature end Sunday, with rain washing out the third and final day of the CofC Classic.
The Cougars had very successful outings against players from both S.C. State and East Carolina through the first two days. Sunday would have pit the Cougars against men from the Georgia Southern squad, who had also been flourishing in their own right.
With the finale of the tournament unfinished, many of the flight championships ended in draws. The Cougars dominated doubles play, winning all four flights undisputedly. In singles, Luke Kusmider was the lone undisputed champ after going 2-0 in the seventh flight. Benedikt Henning, Alec Angradi and Easton Thomas all captured co-championships in flights 2, 6 and 8 respectively.
The Cougars will begin their spring season in February.
