College of Charleston (25-22-1) jumped out to a 3-0 advantage on the third. Dixon and Luke Manzo reached on errors to start the inning and Brown walked to load the bases. Dupree Hart then executed a squeeze but to plate the first run on the game. Bradley Jones laced an RBI single to center and Roper drove in the third run on a sacrifice fly.
Nathan Ocker (4-0) got the start and allowed one run on three hits in 2.2 innings of work. Will Detwiler, Justin Baker, Nathan Helvey and Eric Bauer combined to hold the Tigers (32-17) at bay for the final 6.1 innings.
Brown and Dixon finished with three hits each. It is the second time this season that two Cougars have recorded three hits in the same game. Bradley Jones and Jake Maziar both finished with three hits against Elon on April 3.
CofC returns to Colonial Athletic Association play on Friday as it hosts Northeastern in a three-game series at Patriots Point.
