
Fuenfstueck Top Finisher For Cougars at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – Among the nation's best, senior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany) was the top finisher for the College of Charleston women's golf team at the Bryan National Collegiate held at the par-72 Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center.
Fuenfstueck, one of 19 Top-100 ranked players in the 96-player field, shot rounds of 75-72-74—221 (+5) to finish tied for 26th individually. She entered the tournament ranked No. 99 in the country and shot 2-over par with one birdie in the final round on Sunday.
The Cougars placed 17th overall with a three-round score of 937 (+73) in a tough tournament field that consisted of seven Top 25-ranked teams including tournament champion and No. 3-ranked Alabama (-13). No. 9 Georgia was the runner-up (+1), No. 20 Baylor (+3) third and No. 37 North Carolina and No. 29 NC State tied for fourth (+8).
No. 25-ranked Kristen Gillman of Alabama was the individual medalist firing a tournament-record three-round score of 208 (-8). The Crimson Tide also shot the lowest three-round score in tournament history (851) to win the team title.
CofC closes out the regular season and will prepare for the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship on April 14-16 at Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va.
