Charleston, S.C. – The College of Charleston begins a four-game road swing on Wednesday when the Cougars face former Southern Conference rival Georgia Southern. First pitch at Eagle Field is at 5:00.

The Cougars (18-20) and Eagles (17-19) are meeting for the 75th time with Georgia Southern holding a 45-29 lead in the series including a mark of 20-11 in Statesboro. Charleston has won the past two years including a 4-1 victory at Patriots Point last April.
Yari Felix leads the Cougars and ranks 11th in the CAA with a .367 average and has nine stolen bases, the sixth-highest mark in the league.
Madi Brown, who tied a school record with five hits in Sunday's win over Elon, is batting .342 with 10 doubles and 18 RBI and is fifth in the CAA with 41 hits.
Drayton Siegling picked up her team-leading sixth win of the year in that victory over the Phoenix and also paces the Cougars with a 2.55 ERA.
Georgia Southern is led at the plate by Shelby Wilson, who is batting .396 with seven homers and 30 RBI. Hannah Farrell (.383) and Nekhia Freeman (.382) also have lofty averages, and Logan Harrell has 10 homers and 24 RBI.
Ashleigh Morton has a team-leading seven wins, and Shelby Barfield is tops with an ERA of 1.98.
