
Cougars Drop Pair to Ohio, Virginia

ATHENS, Ohio --- College of Charleston fell to Ohio and Virginia on the first day of Ohio's Bobcat Invitational despite a superb performance by senior Peyton Eisnaugle against the Cavaliers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats stymied the Cougars in a straight-set sweep to open the day after holding CofC to 25 kills and a .076 hitting percentage. Ohio finished the match with 37 kills, nine service aces and a .198 attacking clip. Virginia's service game and an efficient kept the Cougars off balance through much of the match in a four-set win. The Cavaliers finished with 47 kills, eight service aces, nine blocks and a .248 hitting percentage while holding the Cougars to 30 kills, six blocks and a .039 attacking clip.
COUGAR OF THE MATCH
Senior Peyton Eisnaugle compiled 14 kills, seven blocks and a .286 hitting percentage to lead the Cougars on both sides of the net.

- Amani Dunston dished out a team-high 19 assists in addition to 17 digs and an ace. She nearly posted a double-double with eight assists and 10 digs against Ohio.
- The Cougars played perhaps their best set of the day in set two against Ohio with 14 kills and a .293 hitting percentage.
- Sylvia Duggan chipped in a near double-double with seven kills and nine digs against the Cavaliers.
