• Freshman Isac Alstrom made a critical save in the 12th minute when the Tribe took a free kick to keep the match scoreless.
• William & Mary took the lead in the 54th minute when the Tribe took a free kick from right around mid-field and the ball was deflected by Alstrom but followed up by a Tribe attackman.
• In the 61st minute, W&M extended its lead when the Tribe took a free kick from around mid-field and an attackman headed it in.
