• Halli Tirnkle and Eva Nyikos teamed up to take down Armas/Heiderscheit in the No. 1 doubles position by a score of 7-6.
• Trinkle carried the momentum in her favor as she took down Truluck of Davidson in straight sets to give the Cougars their first point of the match.
• Nyikos defeated her opponent in the No. 3 singles position in three sets to give the Cougars their second point of the day.
