OPENING SERVE

• The Cougars sealed the doubles point after getting two wins in the No. 1 and 2 positions. Eva Nyikos and Halli Trinkle teamed up and took down their opponents 6-4, while Anastasia Palaska and Slade Coetzee paired up and won 6-1.
• Nyikos kept the momentum for the Cougars going after giving CofC its second point of the day after winning in the No. 3 position in straight sets.
• Trinkle nearly dominated her opponent in the No. 1 position and gave the Cougars a 3-0 lead.
• Coetzee clutched the match for The College after only allowing two games against her in the No. 2 position.
• Palaska, along with Elizabeth Nowak and Victoria Walter, defeated their opponents and gave CofC a clean 7-0 sweep of the Tigers.

The conditions were tough for both teams which required adjustments in game styles. We will face a very strong St. John's team, led by one of the best players in the country, Jessica Livianu, who is ranked 51^st in singles in the country according to ITA. I'm sure this match will come down to the last match."
