Cougars Sweep Dukes For Third Consecutive Wins

The short story: The Cougars dominated in both doubles and singles with one of their best performances of the season, sweeping the Dukes to improve to 8-5 on the season. Freshman Halli Trinkle clinched the match for the Cougars.
 
OPENING SERVE
  • Eva Nyikos and Trinkle teamed up in the No. 1 position and swept their opponents 6-0 to give CofC some momentum in doubles play.
  • The combination of Anastasia Palaska and Elizabeth Nowak proved strong as they took down their opponents in the No. 2 position to seal the doubles point.
  • Nyikos carried her momentum from doubles into singles, giving Charleston a 2-0 lead after taking her opponent down in the No. 3 position in straight sets.
  • Lily LaBiche played strong in the No. 4 position, taking down her opponent in straight sets to extend the Cougar lead to 3-0.
  • Trinkle clinched the match for CofC in the No. 2 position after defeating her opponent in straight sets.
