Cougars Welcome Ten Teams to Edisto Island Invitational Oct. 10-12

All nine Cougars will compete at the home tournament on the Plantation Course
CHARLESTON, S.C. - After earning a second-place finish at the Evie Odom Invitational last week, the College of Charleston Women's Golf team returns home to to host the Edisto Island Invitational from Sunday-Tuesday. The three-day tournament will feature 54 holes, including 18 holes each day beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The Cougars return to Edisto for the first time since the spring of 2019, when CofC placed fourth in a field of 16 teams. Then-sophomore Jodee Tindal placed sixth overall to lead the Cougars in that event.
Tindal will be in the lineup once again for head coach Jamie Futrell when the Cougars tee off at the Plantation Course on Sunday. She'll be joined by freshmen Emma Schimpf and MK Talledo and sophomores Vikotria Hund and Emily Dunlap.
Schimpf led CofC last week for the third consecutive tournament to begin the campaign, earning her first career Top-10 finish with a 3-under 207 at the Evie Odom Invitational. Schimpf earned CAA Golfer of the Week honors for her efforts.
All nine Cougars on the 2021-22 roster will get to compete this week at the Edisto Island Invitational. Smith Knaffle, Kirsty Brodie, Isabella Britt and Othilie Lied are all participating as individuals. Britt will make her CofC debut at the event.
