ATHENS, GEORGIA - The College of Charleston women's golf squad is headed to Athens, Ga. this weekend to compete in the 50th annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, hosted by the University of Georgia. "This will be our biggest test of the year," head coach Jamie Futrell said. "We are playing in the toughest field of the year on a tough golf course. Our team comes in playing well and we look forward to the challenge."
The highly competitive field consists of 8 Top-25 teams headlined by No. 3 Wake Forest and No. 4 South Carolina, as well as Alabama, Arkansas, CofC, Louisville, Houston, Georgia Southern, Texas A&M, Georgia, Mercer, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern California, and Texas.
