Shae It Loud, Shea It Proud: Yocum, Vidovic Receive All-CAA Honors

RICHMOND, VA. – Junior defender Shae Yocum and freshman midfielder Shea Vidovic have earned spots on the All-CAA teams for the 2023 season in voting by the league's head coaches.
Yocum was named second team all-conference while Vidovic was selected to the all-rookie team. This is the second time Yocum has been honored after receiving a berth on the third team a year ago.
Yocum was the anchor of a Cougar defense that allowed only 25 goals in 17 games this season including three shutouts. She was a stalwart on the back line, starting all 17 games and being off the field for only 49 of a possible 1,530 minutes.
In her three-year career, Yocum has played in all 53 games with 52 starts and a total of 4,092 minutes.
Vidovic saw action in all 17 games with 10 starts and tied for the team lead with three goals, three assists and nine points. Her 34 shots and 14 shots on goal were both second on the Cougars. Vidovic had two goals and two assists in a win over Hampton and also scored a goal against Mercer.
