DELAND, FL.—
Peter Thomas scored his first career goal in College of Charleston's 2-2 draw against Stetson on Thursday night.
Thomas wasted no time scoring the first goal by putting the Cougars on the board in the first minute with the assist credited to
Leonardo D'Ambrosio.
Chris Elliott continued his dominance from a season ago, adding a tally 35 minutes later off an assist from rookie
Matt Lenert.
Stetson's offense fired 13 shots compared to Charleston's two in the second half which shifted the momentum towards the Hatters. Two of the 13 shots from the Hatters led to goals at minutes 51 and 67.
Charleston's
Chris Cushing had an opportunity to put the Cougars back in front, but Stetson deterred the attempt to keep it even.
The Cougars' goalkeeper
Olly Marshall posted six saves in the draw.
