CHARLESTON, S.C.- The College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated App State on Tuesday night inside TD Arena, 83-47.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars started the game on a 10-0 run to take an early lead, backed by five points from Taryn Barbot right out the gate.
- Charleston outscored their opponent in all four quarters, taking a 27-point lead into the break.
- Seven Cougars found success from behind the arc, led by Taryn Barbot with 18 points. Three other players also reached double-digit scoring in the matchup.
- CofC found its largest lead of the game when a three-point shot from Sophia Tougas brought Charleston's lead to 40.
- The Cougars find their first win versus the Mountaineers since 2016 and their largest margin of victory against App State in program history.
LEADING COUGARS
- Taryn Barbot knocked down 18 points on the night complimented by four buckets from the three-point line and six steals.
- Taylor Barbot neared a double-double with 10 points and a career-high nine assists.
- Lara Rohkohl tallied 12 points in the matchup with a team-high nine rebounds.
- Sophia Tougas grabbed a double-digit performance with 11 points after knocking down three shots from beyond the arc.
