CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston continues its road trip this weekend with a three-game series against Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C.
The Cougars and Camels meet for the first time as CAA opponents beginning Friday at 5 p.m. The series continues Saturday at 3 p.m. and wraps up with a 1 p.m. Sunday contest.
This marks the second week in a row the Cougars are on the road in league play, having lost three at UNCW in their most recent outings. Charleston concludes its eight-game road swing next Tuesday at Charleston Southern before returning home to play NC A&T on April 19-21.
Campbell enters the weekend in a three-way tie for second place with an 11-4 conference record. The Camels left the Big South after winning three straight conference tournament championships.Â
Campbell and Charleston have shared a conference before. They were both members of the Trans America Athletic Conference from 1993 through 1998 before the Cougars left for the SoCon.
The Camels hold a 24-12 lead in the series including a 6-1 victory in 2021 in the most recent meeting. The Cougars have not visited Buies Creek since sweeping a doubleheader in 2011.
