CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team tied Monmouth on Saturday afternoon, 0-0.
The Cougars finished their matchup against the Hawks in a scoreless draw, finishing the day with 11 shots. After entering the break, the Cougars came out hot outshooting their opponent 7-2. A series of attacking opportunities throughout the second half showed promise for Charleston, but they were unable to convert.
Leonardo D'Ambrosio led the Cougars with two shots on goal, while
Olly Marshall kept the score even with four saves.
Matt Lenert and
Mikey Saunders also provided chances for Charleston, but a strong performance by the Monmouth goalkeeper denied any goal.
The Cougars will return to the pitch on October 5, traveling to Wilmington to take on UNCW. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will be livestreamed on FloFC.
