Cougars Open Indoor Season at Dick Taylor Challenge

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team opens its 2025 indoor season this weekend at the Dick Taylor Challenge in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The two-day meet at the Eddie Smith Fieldhouse will include 20 Cougar athletes competing in eight events. The high jump takes place on Friday with the remainder of the meet scheduled for Saturday.
The meet is the first of five on the docket for the Cougars during the indoor season. The team will also compete at the Gamecock Challenge (Feb. 1), Camel City Distance (Feb. 8), DI Pre-Nationals (Feb. 14-15) and the CAA Championships (Feb. 26-27).
Charleston returns 13 athletes who appear in the track and field record book, including seniors Sophia Brown, Kirsten McKenna and Tonet Tallie. Top returning juniors are Cayden Crismon, Kylie Dougherty, Abby Fush, Andie Harding and Emily Kreek.
The sophomore class features record-book entries Kinsley Allen, Madison Jent, Katie O'Toole, Sydney Peer and Savannah Stoutt.
