WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team travels to William & Mary to play Sunday, October 5 with kickoff slated for 12:00 p.m.
Charleston's record is now 7-4-1 and 3-1 in CAA play following a dominating 4-0 victory over Hampton to open conference play at home.
Sunday marks Charleston's fourth road conference game. The Cougars are 2-1 on the road in CAA play in 2025. In conference play, the Cougars have outscored their opponents 12 to four. Charleston has drawn 30 corners to its conference opponents seven, and the Cougars have not been scored on in the second half since beginning conference play.
Most recently, Charleston hosted Hampton, defeating the Pirates 4-0 dividing goals equally between halves.
Maggie Heffernan found her first career brace finding two goals in the first 45.
Bella Antonio scored her fifth goal of the season against the Pirates. Antonio and Heffernan now lead the team in most goals scored this season.
Freshman
Ellie Stewart scored her first collegiate goal Thursday in the 85th minute to solidify the victory.
Goalkeeper
Ainsley Chunn secured her fifth shutout of the season over Hampton while making two saves.
William & Mary is 3-5-4 this season and 1-1-2 in the CAA. Most recently, the Tribe fell to Campbell 1-0 on the road Thursday, October 2. Notably, the Tribe tied No. 20 Virginia Tech 3-3 September 7.
Sunday's game will mark the 12th meeting between the teams. Charleston falls short in the series with a 2-5-5 record against the Tribe since 2013. In 2024, Charleston won 3-2 marking the Cougar's first ever road win over the Tribe.
