Solarski Earns CAA Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Jakub Solarski earned Coastal Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week honors after going a perfect 3-0 last week.
The junior accounted for both of CofC's points against Coastal Carolina, winning his singles match 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in slot No. 2, and teaming with Eddie Vo for a 7-6 (7) win at the No. 1 doubles position.
Then in Charleston's 5-2 win over Wofford, the Poland native won again in three sets in position No. 2 (4-6, 6-4, 7-5). Additionally, he and Eddie Vo were leading 5-4 on court one in doubles when the Cougars had already clinched the point.
This is Solarski's first CAA Player of the Week award, and it's his third time earning player of the week honors – he did so twice last year at Norfolk State.
The Cougars will be back in action on Friday, February 20 for a matchup at Coppin State in Baltimore, Md. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
