Biography
Senior (2015-2016): Posted a singles record of 8-5, primarily in the No. 6 singles flight as a senior. His biggest wins included a, 6-1, 6-0, win over James Madison’s Alex Berdnikoff on March 13, and a crucial 6-3, 7-5, win over No. 67 UNCW’s Josh Hublitz in the CAA Championship. The win helped to secure CofC’s first CAA Championship, and a berth in the NCAA tournament, where they faced No. 3 ranked North Carolina in the first round.
Junior (2014-2015): Split his 12 matches at the No. 6 singles spot, ending the season with a 6-6 singles record. Won five matches at the No. 3 doubles position with either Vasily Kichigin or Josh Record as his partner.
Sophomore (2013-14): Gordon made one appearance in his sophomore season, earning a doubles victory against No. 75 ranked Presbyterian alongside freshman Rodrigo Encinas.
Freshman (2012-13): Recorded a 4-3 mark at Georgia Tech in singles along with a 2-2 record in doubles…Finished his fall season with a pair of singles victories versus Georgia Southern and Florida Gulf Coast at the USTA/ITA Southeast Regionals in Tallahassee, Fla.
High School: Attended Laurel Springs School in Marietta, Ga. …Ranked as highly as 17th in the country in 2011 when he posted a 23-17 overall record and a 6-6 mark versus “Blue Chip” players...Ranked 2nd among seniors in the state of Georgia his senior year.
Personal: Intends to major in Business Administration at College of Charleston…Son of Huntly and Patty Gordon…Father played tennis at CofC…Enjoys surfing, fishing, travelling and playing golf.
