#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The Elon men's tennis squad dropped its Southern Conference opener 6-1 to College of Charleston on Friday afternoon. The loss dropped Elon to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in league play. The Cougars upped their record to 3-4, 1-0.

The Phoenix claimed one doubles match with Eric Haase/Sebastian Bredberg defeating Bill Brehner/Seth Bowman 8-2 at number three. Pramote Malasitt/Austin Fenn fell 8-4 to Timo Siebert/Philipp Koller and Justin Roberson/Thomas Rohof lost 8-4 to Liran Kling/Or Dekel.

In singles action, Haase claimed Elon's only point with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 victory over Siebert at the number two flight. Malasitt fell 4-6, 2-6 to Dekel at number one singles. In three thru six singles: Rohof was defeatd 0-6, 6-4, 1-6 to Bastian Moldehake, Roberson fell to Koller by scores of 6-2, 3-6, 4-6, Bredberg lost 6-4, 1-6, 4-6 to Kling and Fenn fell 1-6, 2-6 to Bowman.
