The Cougars posted straight-set wins in four of six singles positions and secured the doubles point, thanks to victories by Arthur Peller/Timo Siebert (8-2) at No. 1, Or Dekel/Philipp Koller (8-6) at the No. 2 slot and Liran Kling/Bastian Moldhenke (8-2) at the No. 3 event.
The College of Charleston (8-4, 4-0 SoCon) utilized singles triumphs from Dekel (6-4, 6-1) at No. 1, Siebert (7-5, 6-1) at No. 2, Moldhenke (6-1, 7-5) at No. 3, Peller (6-7, 6-3, 6-4) at No. 4 and Kling (6-2, 6-4) at No. 6 to extend its winning streak to eight straight matches.
Georgia Southern (6-10, 1-4) used Tom Green's 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 decision over Koller at the No. 5 singles position for its only victory of the afternoon.
The Eagles will return to action Sunday when they visit The Citadel for a SoCon match scheduled to begin at 12 noon. The Cougars host UNC Greensoboro Saturday at 1:00 PM.
