#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The Wofford men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker, 4-3, to visiting College of Charleston Friday afternoon at the Reeves Tennis Center. The deciding factor in the match was the doubles point, which the Cougars won to maintain their Southern Conference leading 11-5 record, including a perfect 6-0 in the league.

The Terriers were victorious in one of three doubles matches picking up a win at the No. 1 seed. Kent Ball and Brett Johnson knocked off CofC's top duo of Arthur Peller and Timo Siebert, 8-5.

In singles action, Wofford split the six matches with Charleston. Johnson garnered a 7-6, 6-4 decision over Bastian Moldehnke at the No. 3 slot. Brandon Smith added to his team-leading win total with a three-set, 7-5, 0-6, 6-3 triumph over Philipp Koller at the No. 5 position. The Terriers also earned a win at the No. 6 seed as JasonMengel defeated Liran Kling, 7-5, 7-6.

With the loss, Wofford drops to 7-8 overall and 1-5 in the SoCon.
