The win gives Charleston an 8-3 overall record and a 4-1 Southern Conference mark. Wofford drops to 4-11 overall and 2-2 in the league.
Wofford's Andrew Stubbs defeated Justin Malina in three sets at number one singles, but Philipp Koller and Perry Allen took third-set victories at number three and five to give the Cougars the win with other wins by Liran Kling and Mike Reynolds. Alex Quilis fell to Alex Fridzon at number four to give Wofford its second and last point of the match. Charleston won all three doubles to start the day 1-0.
Wofford travels to Appalachian State April 2, at 12:00 PM, while the Cougars host Furman Marc. 20th at 2:00 PM at Patriots Point.
