The Cougars improve to 10-6 overall and 6-3 in the Southern Conference, while the Spartans move to 3-17 and 1-8.
In the early match against College of Charleston, UNCG got wins by Greg Levy and Chris Magnone in singles action. Levy, UNCG's number one singles player, defeated Phillip Koller, 7-5, 6-3. Magnone defeated Justin Malina at number three singles by scores of 7-5 and 7-6, 7-5 in the tiebreaker.
However, the Cougars won each of the other four singles in straight sets and all three doubles pro-sets to secure the win. Liran Kling won at number two, while Mike Reynolds won at number four. Alexander Quilis took the number five win, while Perry Allen won at number six.
UNCG hits the road next Saturday to take on Wofford at 2:00 PM, while the Cougars host Florida A&M the same day at 1:00 PM at the tennis center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
