Wofford Men's Tennis Edges CofC, 4-3

A three-set victory by Alex Fridzon was the deciding point for the Wofford men's tennis team in its 4-3 triumph over College of Charleston Monday afternoon at the Reeves Tennis Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
Wofford improves to 9-10 overall and 4-4 in the SoCon. Charleston drops to 16-5 and 7-2 in the league.
The Terriers evened the contest at 3-3 when senior Chris Barlow registered a 6-3, 6-2 win at the No. 2 singles slot against Marcus DiGliodo. Fridzon then tallied the clinching point with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-4 triumph over Justin Malina at the No. 3 position.
Wofford received its third singles win, a 6-4, 6-0 decision, by freshman Scott Collins vs. Mike Reynolds at the No. 5 seed.
The Terriers also posted victories in two of the three doubles contests to earn the doubles point. At the No. 1 slot, Barlow and sophomore Andrew Stubbs garnered an 8-5 triumph against DiGliodo and Or Dekel, the SoCon's top doubles tandem.
Collins paired with junior Jeff Muthig for an 8-4 win over Reynolds and Ashok Ramachandra during the No. 3 doubles match.
The Terriers travel to Satesboro, Ga., for a 10:00 AM match against Georgia Southern Saturday, April 15th. The Cougars end their regular season and will play again April 20-23 at the Southern Conference Tournament.
