Omer Abramovich and Mickael Boyer captured wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles leading the College of Charleston to a 4-3 win over Illinois State in men's college tennis action at Patriots Point Tennis Center on Wednesday.
The Cougars, who play host to East Carolina at 1 p.m. on Thursday, improved to 5-6. The Redbirds fell to 5-4.
Abramovich defeated Luka Marinkovic 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 while Boyer downed Nuno Jacinto 6-2, 7-5. Ross Moyer downed Michael Hobson 6-3, 6-3 at No. 6 singles. Joe Nicolazzi won at No. 4 singles when ISU's Xavier Riart-Ferrer withdrew with an injury with the match tied at 1-all.
