The Wofford men's tennis squad picked up its third straight league win Sunday afternoon at the Reeves Tennis Center, as the Terriers defeated SoCon foe the College of Charleston 5-2.
Wofford (9-8, 3-2 SoCon) captured the first point of the match as they claimed the doubles point over the Cougars (6-13, 1-6 SoCon) in two matches of three. At the No. 1 spot, the duo of senior Andrew Stubbs and sophomore George Kernodle defeated Omer Abramovich and Steven Myers 8-5. Senior Richard Cahi and freshman Paul Bartholomy teamed up at the No. 2 position and beat teammates Joe Nicolazzi and Mickael Boyer 8-6.
In singles action, Stubbs captured a victory at the No. 1 slot over Abramovich as he retired during the second set already down 6-3, 2-0.
Charleston's Mickael Boyer beat George Kernodle 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 singles, while Ross Moyer earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles over Christopher Williams.
Freshman Paul Bartholomy extended his undefeated conference streak to five wins with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Christopher Carlton at the No. 5 position.
