
Parker Falls In Round Of 16 at ITA Carolina Regional

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - After a solid tournament run, College of Charleston's Kyle Parker (Richmond, Va.) fell in the round of 16 in the singles draw of the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships held Sunday afternoon at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Stadium.
Parker, a sophomore left-hander on the defending Southern Conference men's tennis team, was the only unseeded player remaining in the field, but was defeated in straight sets by fifth-seeded and No. 64-ranked Stefan Hardy of host North Carolina, 6-0, 6-4, for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Up next, the Cougars will host the CofC Invitational on Oct. 22-24 at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
