Cougars Win Seven Singles Flights at CofC Invitational

Senior Lukas Koncilia (Tyrol, Austria), junior Mickael Trintignac (Le Cannet, France), sophomore Kyle Parker (Richmond, Va.), junior Tom Delme (Hamoir, Belgium), senior Mickael Boyer (Meudon, France), sophomore Bryan Roberts (Charlotte, N.C.) and sophomore Stephen Hardy (Fairfax, Va.) all put together a perfect 3-0 tournament record against players from Gardner-Webb, Appalachian State and UNC Charlotte over the weekend.
Koncilia, defending Southern Conference Player of the Year, defeated Moritz Bernhoerster in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, in the top singles flight, while Trintignac downed Anthony Davision, 6-4, 6-3, for the B singles flight title.
Trintignac and Boyer were the only Cougars to combine for an undefeated 3-0 mark in doubles competition completing the weekend sweep with an 8-3 victory over Charlotte's Davison and Krysztof Kwasniewicz on Sunday.
CofC will close out the fall season at the Tribe Invitational hosted by William & Mary on Nov. 5-7 in Williamsburg, Va.
