
Men's Tennis Concludes Fall Tournament Play at Tribe Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The College of Charleston men's tennis team concluded fall tournament play at the fifth annual Tribe Invitational hosted by The College of William & Mary on Sunday afternoon at the McCormach-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
Sophomore Bryan Roberts (Charlotte, N.C.) was the only Cougar to win in singles with a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (9) third-set super tiebreaker victory over Graham Knowlton of Maryland in Flight #5 action. Roberts, a transfer from Duquesne, posted a 3-1 tournament mark against players from Notre Dame and UM combined. He also teamed up with sophomore Stephen Hardy (Fairfax, Va.) to claim an 8-5 victory over the Terps' Knowlton and Jan Surovic in Flight #3 doubles.
The Cougars will return to action in the spring with a dual match against Gardner-Webb in their home opener scheduled for Jan. 30, 2011, at the College of Charleston Tennis Center in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
