WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Junior college transfer Riana Brennan (Los Gatos, Calif.) had 11 kills and six digs as the College of Charleston volleyball team (2-2) dropped its first match of the Demon Deacon Classic, 3-1, to Loyola (Chicago) on Friday night at LJVM Coliseum.

The Ramblers (1-3) won the first set, 25-17, while the Cougars tied up the match with a 25-17 second set and four service aces by Brennan. Loyola would go on to win the third and fourth sets, 25-22 and 25-21, rebounding from previous close losses to Iowa, DePaul and Northern Illinois last weekend.

Inside the Stats: Junior outside hitter Riana Brennan (11 kills, 6 digs and .258 hitting percentage), sophomore setter Allison Beckman (33 assists), senior middle blocker Maddie Hills (10 kills and .250 hitting percentage) and sophomore libero McKala Rhodes (14 digs).
