CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston volleyball swept Stetson (25-21, 25-17, 25-18) Sunday afternoon to win the 2025 Steve Baumrind Invitational.

The College capped off the weekend with its fourth victory of the week, improving to 6-4 on the campaign. With the loss, Stetson slides to 3-6.

Freshmen
Caroline Noonan and
Makena Parthen each tallied nine kills in the win while junior
Lauren Dow recorded her fifth double-double of the campaign with a 31 assist and 10 dig day.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST STETSON:
- Parthen hit .667 during the contest while Noonan had a .412 clip.
- Charleston hit .302 in the second set and recorded 34 kills through the first two frames.
- Freshman Jumana Martin led the defensive attack with 14 digs while Dow and freshman Sydney Bates added 10 of their own.
- The Cougars held Stetson to a .076 attacking percentage Sunday, the lowest an opponent has hit this year.

OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 18-5 against Stetson with its last four wins coming in straight sets.
- CofC lost just two sets during its four victories in the week.
- Charleston has held its opponents below a .165 hitting percentage in the last four matches and six total times this season.
- Dow was named the Steve Baumrind Invitational Tournament MVP while Martin and Marinelli earned All-Tournament Team honors.
- Dow averaged 10.70 assists per set over the weekend with 28 digs and a .429 hitting percentage.
- Martin extended her streak of consecutive matches with a service ace to 10 contests.

Charleston has its first true road weekend when it begins Coastal Athletic Association play Sept. 20-21 against Towson. Opening serves both days are scheduled for noon.
