CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team will host UNCW (8-15, 2-9 CAA) on Saturday evening, as the Cougars look to extend their nine-match winning streak in Colonial Athletic Association play and push to secure a first-round bye in next month's CAA Tournament.

Junior Bomber: Junior
Kennedy Madison was nothing short of spectacular in the Cougars' sweeps of Hofstra and Northeastern last weekend, as the 6-foot right averaged 4.33 kills per set and hit a blistering .488 to earn CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors. The effort has pushed Madison into the CAA's top 10 in hitting percentage with a .28 clip overall, and a .326 mark in league play.
Crushing the Competition: Krissy Mummey has put together an unforgettable senior thus far, and continues to rise to the occasion against the Cougars' toughest opponents. In CofC's nine matches against teams ranked amongst the top 100 in RPI, Mummey is averaging 3.35 kills and 0.82 blocks per set while attacking at a .394 clip. She has been particularly effective in the Cougars' five wins against top-100 teams – averaging 3.70 kills per set in those matches while hitting a blistering .470.
Climbing the Ladder: Junior setter
Allison Beckman continues to make her way toward the top of the Cougars' record books with another fine season. With 30 assists in the Cougars' sweep of Appalachian State on September 15, the 5-foot-10 setter moved into seventh in program history, and currently sits at 3,181 assists for her career – 11 assists shy of moving into sixth all-time.
Top-10 Stalwart: Junior libero
McKala Rhodes put in a performance of historical significance last weekend, as the 5-foot-10 Charleston native moved up a notch on the program's all-time digs list in back-to-back matches. After cracking the top-10 against Northeastern on Saturday, Rhodes jumped into ninth with a 14-dig effort in Monday's win over James Madison.
Scouting UNCW: The Seahawks enter the match with an 8-15 overall record, and sit eighth in the CAA with a 2-9 mark in league play. UNCW ranks fourth in the conference in blocks per set (2.21), and fifth in digs per frame (15.03). Halle Hunt comes into the contest ranked second in service aces per set (0.40), and leads the Seahawk attack with an average of 2.44 kills per set.
