CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston volleyball was defeated by North Carolina A&T in five sets (25-22, 15-25, 18-25, 25-22, 11-15) Saturday afternoon at TD Arena.

The Cougars slide to 11-7 overall and 5-3 in the CAA while the Aggies improve to 7-8 and 3-3 in league play.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST NORTH CAROLINA A&T:
- Charleston opened the contest hitting .300 with 17 kills.
- Junior Lauren Dow collected a double-double, finishing the match with 45 assists and 18 digs.
- Freshman Jumana Martin had a career-best 32 digs Saturday
- CofC had its fifth block party, recording 10 blocks.
- Sophomore Cole Crews collected 14 digs and a pair of service aces in the setback.

OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 4-4 against North Carolina A&T in the all-time series.
- Martin's 32 digs are tied for the sixth-most in program history in the Rally-Scoring Era.
- Martin collected her ninth match of at least 20 digs.
- Caroline Noonan and Makena Parthen are the first pair of CofC true freshmen with 50 blocks in a season since Sarah Havel and Elyse Chubb in 2008.
- Marinelli surpassed 700 career kills Saturday.
- Charleston has recorded five-plus aces in 12 matches this season.
