Cougars Outpaced by Ospreys in 6-0 Loss

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - The College of Charleston men's tennis team (4-2) couldn't find it's rhythm on the road Friday, falling 6-0 to the North Florida Ospreys (5-4).
UNF got off to a quick start with two straight wins in the lower flights of doubles play. Juan Estevarena and Vasily Kichigin managed to stave off the No. 2 doubles player in the world in Jack Findel-Hawkins, but trailed 3-2 before the match was left unfinished.
Singles play was more of the same, as the cougars suffered five two-set defeats. Of the matches that concluded, Ryan Khan played the most exciting match of the day, falling 6-3, 6-4 to Sahil Deshmukh in the fifth flight. Benedikt Henning and No. 62 Jefta Kecic had a battle on their hands in flight two, where Kecic narrowly won the first set 7-6. However, the match was left unfinished with the contest decided.
The Cougars will remain on the road next Tuesday when they set off north to take on Virginia Tech.
