CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team (7-10) wraps up the regular season on Sunday when they head to Davidson (13-6) to take on the Wildcats.
The Cougars look to snap their two-match skid after falling to James Madison and East Carolina over the past two weeks. The flight two doubles tandem of Ksawery Pociej and Easton Thomas came together at the end of March, and have been a perfect 3-0 since. To give the Cougars the edge early on in matches.
The Cougars and Wildcats have come together in eight of the last nine seasons, with CofC winning every one of those encounters. Last year, with CofC winning 5-2 at home, the Cougars won five of their six singles matches to take the victory.
Davidson is 13-6 on the season, and they sport a perfect 4-0 clip against Atlantic 10 opponents. Since the beginning of March, they've picked up seven of a possible nine wins, but their two losses have come in their last two matches. Shamael Chaudrey, who plays second flight singles for the Wildcats, boasts the team's best record at 13-4.
