CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston men's soccer team (2-4-2, 0-3) fell 2-1 in a tough battle with Drexel (4-4, 2-1) on Saturday night at Patriots Point.
The Cougars struck first, as
Rio Murray scored the game's first goal off a perfect feed from
Jake Nicholson in the match's 22nd minute. Charleston would carry the 1-0 lead into the half.
Charleston was able to protect the advantage for much of the second half, until the Dragons scored on a header in the 72nd minute. Just three minutes leader, Drexel took the lead on a long-range strike and never looked back. The Dragons were able to protect the advantage until the final horn, defeating the Cougars 2-1.
The loss drops the College of Charleston to 0-3 in CAA play, as Drexel improves to 2-1 in conference action.

- Senior Rio Murray had produced three assists this season, but the goal he scored against the Dragons was his first of the season and the fourth of his career
