
CofC Women's Tennis Heads Across Town to Face Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's tennis team heads to North Charleston to face cross-town foe Charleston Southern on Friday. First serve is at 1:00 p.m.
The Cougars are looking to even up their record following two consecutive losses at Georgia Southern and Clemson. Charleston was scheduled to play Presbyterian before rain postponed the match.
CofC Notables
Charleston senior Slade Coetzee is 3-0 this season in singles play and was named CAA Player of the Week for her efforts.. Coetzee took down Clemson's #1 last Saturday for one of the Cougars' two singles victories. The other victory came from Halli Trinkle, who defeated the #113 player in the nation. Trinkle is 2-1 in singles action this season. Maja Kekauc and Victoria Walter are also 2-1 in singles play through three matches.
The doubles team of Coetzee and Trink is 2-0 this season. Elizabeth Nowak and Kate Earnhardt are 1-2.
Charleston Southern Notables
Charleston Southern is 2-2 and shares two common opponents with CofC. Both programs swept South Carolina State and both lost at Georgia Southern. The Bucanneers went 10-8 last year, including a 5-2 win over the College of Charleston. Amila Jusufbegovic is 2-0 in singles play this season to lead CSU.
The duo of Zoe Cauthen and Tiffany Pyritz owns a 3-1 record in doubles play this season.
