CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will return home to host Charleston Southern on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m.
 
The Cougars enter the matchup coming off a 2-2 tie to USC Upstate, where Charleston scored two goals in the first half to take the lead. The Spartans rallied back in the second half to even the game. The Cougars pressed with six shots in the final 10 minutes but were unable to put the ball in the back of the net for the game winner, taking one point away from their Spartanburg road trip.
 
The Buccaneers sit 2-2-1 on the season, going undefeated in their last three matchups. Charleston Southern hosted SC State on Thursday afternoon, taking the 5-0 win. The Cougars faced the Bulldogs in their first matchup of the season, beating SC State 7-0.
 
Charleston currently holds a 20-4-5 record versus the Buccaneers, most recently facing each other in 2022, where the Cougars took a 2-0 victory. Charleston has a 12-game win streak versus Charleston Southern.
