CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team hosts the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs Thursday, September 11 with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
Charleston found its first home win over North Florida Sunday, September 7 defeating the Ospreys 3-1. The Cougar's record is now 2-3-1 for the 2025 season. Three different Cougars found goals Sunday with
Faith Slimmer scoring her 16th career goal to put her in the Charleston Top 10 All-Time goal scorers.
Emma Wennar,
Maggie Heffernan, and Slimmer are tied for top goal scorers this season with two each. The Cougars have collectively taken 100 shots this season compared to their opponents 48.
Goalkeeper
Ainsley Chunn has saved 18 shots on the 2025 campaign and allowed eight goals by opponents.
Gardner-Webb sits at 1-5-1 on the season with an 0-4-1 away record. Gardner-Webb fell 1-0 to fellow CAA foe Elon on the road in August. Most recently, Gardner-Webb fell to Mercer on September 7 on the road 5-0.
Thursday's matchup will mark the first meeting in program history between the Bulldogs and the Cougars.
