Men's Soccer Visits Campbell in Road CAA Contest

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team hits the road to face Campbell in a crucial Coastal Athletic Association Matchup on Saturday, October 4 at 6:00 p.m. at Eakes Athletics Complex.

LAST TIME OUT Charleston enters the match 4-6-1 (1-2-1) after a 3-1 win over William & Mary at Patriots Point last Saturday afternoon. Ben Bagshaw collected his third and fourth goals of the season, while Stian Bendvold, Caio Hughes, Issaka Salifu and Ezra White all dished out assists in the victory. Pavel Dashin scored the other goal for the Cougars, while Jourdan Schumacher posted two saves in Charleston's first conference win of the season.

Bagshaw earned his first-ever CAA Conference Player of the Week award after his two-goal performance against the Tribe.

SCOUTING THE CAMELS — The Camels come into the contest with an overall record of 4-2-4 and an undefeated mark of 1-0-2 in conference play. Campbell's conference win came against William & Mary, while its two ties were against Charleston and Elon. The Camels are led by Senior Ethan Roberts who has four goals during the 2025 campaign.

MATCHUP HISTORY — The Cougars hold a 9-3-2 all-time record over the Camel's in Charleston's Division I era. The Cougars and the Camels last faced off less than a month ago when the two squads tied 0-0 at Patriots Point on September 13. Schumacher posted a career-high six saves in goal as he blanked Campbell and will look to do the same this weekend.

CAA STANDINGS —    The top two teams from each division and the next two best overall teams in the conference will earn a spot in the CAA Tournament and the right to play for the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars are currently in fourth place with a total of four points in the South Division and could move up to second with a win on Saturday.
