• CAA Singles Player of the Week (Jan. 30, 2019)
Senior (2018-19): Went 15-4 in singles play over the spring season, 14-4 in flight five, the most singles wins over one season in her career... Won eight straight between Feb. 10 and Mar. 10... CAA Singles Player of the Week on Jan. 30... Clinched in back-to-back matches against Davidson, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, on Mar. 6 and 6-2, 7-5, against Coastal Carolina on Mar. 9... Went 12-8 in flight three doubles with partner Sarah Zschunke... Duo won five straight between Mar. 3 and Mar. 10.
Junior (2017-18): Competed in the CofC Classic during the fall season, went 3-0 in doubles with Laura Arciniegas. They picked up wins against Winthrop (6-0), Marshall (6-4), and Samford (6-3), becoming Flight 3 Doubles Champions. Yates also went (2-1) in singles winning over Samford's Elsa Pool (6-4, 6-3) and Winthrop's Ellie Burns (6-2, 6-2) ... Had one of the best dual singles records at 15-6, playing primarily out of the No. 5 position ... Played her doubles matches exclusively alongside Laura Arciniegas, where the two went 9-9 ... Was absolutely dominant in doubles to begin the year, as she and Arciniegas only dropped two of their first 12 matches ... Was undefeated in eight out of nine matches from March 14 through April 20 ... Won two three-set thrillers against conference opponents toward the end of the year, defeating Elon's Alex Koniaev (3-6, 6-2, 6-4) and UNCW's Rashika Ravindran (7-5, 5-7, 6-1).
Sophomore (2016-17): Sat out the fall season recovering from a lower body injury ... Made her CofC debut on the road against Stetson, defeating Alexe Vlaud 6-0, 6-7(4), 10-8 ... Played primarily at No. 6 singles, and posted an 11-4 record in dual singles for the Cougars, the second highest winning percentage on the team ... Ended the season on fire, winning her last seven consecutive matches including a CAA Tournament victory over UNCW's Celete Matute (6-3, 6-1) ... Picked up wins over UMass' Brittany Collens (6-2, 6-2), Marshall's Daniela Dankanych (3-6, 6-1, 6-4) and James Madison's Rebecca Harris (6-2, 7-5), all three of which helped the Cougars achieve 4-3 victories ... Played six doubles matches on the year, primarily alongside Christi Woodson, going 3-3 in third flight action.
Freshman (2015-16 at Missouri) - In first year of collegiate tennis, went 15-16 overall, posting an 11-12 mark in singles play and a 4-4 line in doubles play ... During the spring season, went 4-3 at the No. 6 position ... Recorded singles wins in four of five matches between Feb. 6 and Feb. 21, earning wins over Missouri State, BYU, Furman and USC-Upstate ... Recorded first collegiate win on Sept. 18 in a doubles action with Clare Raley, defeating Olivia Boesing and Elle Stokes (Louisville)
Prior to CofC - 2015 Mississippi Tennis Association Player of the Year as a high school senior ... Did not play HS tennis as a junior or senior ... Mississippi HS Hall of Fame inductee in 2013 ... Won the Mississippi state No. 1 singles title as a sophomore in 2013 ... Named MVP for Jackson Acamedy as a freshman ... On the acamedic honor roll in 2012 and 2015 ... Won a community service award as a freshman
