The Cougars are coming off a 2-1 win at Charlotte this past Thursday. Carolyn Morris led with a goal and an assist, while Amanda Andrews provided the game-winner as Charleston out-shot the 49ers 10-5 and held the 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Cougars, who are coming off a 12-5-2 campaign in 2004 which saw them set a school record for wins and record their first ever ranking at #14 in the Southeast, will open the season August 28, facing N.C. State in Raleigh, NC. On Friday, September 2, the Cougars will travel to Athens, GA to face Georgia.
Charleston opens up at home with the Quality Inn & Suites Classic at Patriots Point on the weekend of September 9-11 to face Virginia Tech and Florida International.
