MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team won five of six singles matches this past Sunday to snap No. 75 Presbyterian's nine match winning streak with a 5-2 victory at the College of Charleston Tennis Facility at Patriots Point.

The match began in Presbyterian's favor as the Blue Hose captured the doubles point when the third-flight pairing of Grayson Mills and Diego Manzanas knocked off Rodrigo Encinas (Santiago, Chile) and Garrett Gordon (Marietta, Ga.) for the first win, 8-3. Ryan Miller and Ben Kelley then clinched the point with an 8-6 defeat of Alon Faiman (Ramat Hasharon, Israel) and Zack Lewis (Richmond, Ky.).

The Cougars came storming back in singles play however, where Faiman, Lewis, Charlie Ghriskey (Mount Kisco, N.Y.), Crescente Lesser (Santiago, Chile) and Encinas all claimed victories, giving the Cougars five of six singles points and their first victory over a ranked team this season.

Next up for the College is a Tuesday, Mar. 4, clash with UC Riverside, in Riverside, CA, where doubles play is set to begin at noon.
