CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team will split up its roster this weekend to take part in two events, with the majority of the team heading to Statesboro for the Georgia Southern Championships while two players will take part in the USTA Player's Choice Open in Birmingham, Ala.
Juan Estevarena and Vasily Kichigin will both enter the open qualifiers in the Player's Choice Open in hopes of making the main draw. The tournament will feature some premier players in the sport, with nearly 20 carrying ranks within the Top 1000 in the world. Opening draws have not yet been announced.
A bigger squad comprising Ryan Khan, Benedict Henning, Easton Thomas, Alec Angradi, Jake and Luke Kusmider will instead be in the Peach State. Henning was venerated as the No. 5 seed in the tournament, which includes Georgia Southern, SC State, North Florida, SCAD, Kennesaw State. Opening draws for that tournament are listed below.
