MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team (7-4) bounced back from a tough Friday loss, swatting the Lynchburg College Hornets (0-6) en route to a 7-0 win.

The College experimented with some exotic lineup choices as a result of the decision to rest Juan Estevarena, Vasily Kichigin, Benedikt Hanning and Ryan Khan. That didn't slow down the Cougars though, as the squad went a perfect 3-0 in doubles play, headlined by Easton Thomas and Franz Sydow pulling off the 8-0 shutout in flight two.

Singles play provided much of the same, with CofC winning on all fronts. Jake Kusmider got his first taste of top flight action, and made the most of it by knocking off Juan Borga by a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score. Alec Angradi achieved the same result on court five, defeating Nick Savino.

Luke Kusmider, Franz Sydow and Easton Thomas all won their matches with mere one-set blemishes against them. The closest match of the evening was in the second flight, where Rodrigo Encinas dispatched Dominick Gutierrez 6-3, 6-1.

The Cougars return to action on Tuesday, when they continue their home-stand against the Illinois State Red Birds.
