CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Soccer is set to face off against cross-town foe Charleston Southern on Wednesday, Sept. 18 with kick-off scheduled for 4 p.m.

Last Outing
CofC improved its record to 3-3 after defeating Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 15 by a score of 2-1 in the final match of the UNCW Battle of the Beaches tournament. The Cougars fell 1-0 early in the first half but kept fighting to crawl back into the match. Junior Maddie Cybulski evened the score in the 43rd minute to make it 1-1 and freshman Olivia Freitas scored the game-winner in the 56th minute. Freitas and senior Rachel Kim were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Opponent
CSU logged a 9-6-2 overall record and a 5-4-1 record in Big South play in 2018, its first winning season since 2011. This season, the Buccaneers have recorded an overall record of 3-3-0 with wins over Jacksonville, Wofford and Alabama State. The Buccaneers have three players who have scored two goals so far this season and four others that have scored once. Head Coach Eric Terrill is in the midst of his 25th season at the helm of the program.

• Sophomore Hannah Farmer has recorded a team-high two goals and dished out one assist.
• Seniors Rachel Kim and Talia Colchico, juniors Maddie Cybulski, Katrina Koomen and Haley Mannetta, along with freshmen Grace Powell and Olivia Freitas have logged one goal each.
• Kim was named to the CAA Preseason All-Conference Team.
• The all-time series between the Cougars and the Buccaneers stands at 18-5-4, in favor of the Cougars, with the last meeting ending in a 3-0 win for CofC on Sept. 6, 2018.
• Head Coach Christian Michner needs 10 wins (77) to tie former Head Coach Kevin Dempsey's record for the most wins in program history (87).
