The Short Story: Despite a great start to the game, the Cougars scoring disappeared in spurts of the game while the Blue Hens took advantage. CofC made a late push but still fell short in the end.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sophomore Madison Taylor got the Cougars started on their first possession with a made three pointer from the corner.
There was eight lead changes and one tie in just the first five minutes of play of the first quarter.
The Cougars went scoreless for nearly six minutes in the second quarter and the Blue Hens took advantage going on a 10-0 run.
Collins knocked down a triple at the 1:03 mark of the second to get the Cougars out of their slump but consecutive buckets from Delaware tied the game at 28-28 entering the half.
Delaware went on a 10-2 run and gave themselves a nine-point lead at the 3:22 mark of the third.
Charleston went on another scoring slump late in the third quarter before Ford knocked down a triple and cut the Blue Hen lead to just six points.
Williams picked off a cross-court pass by Delaware and took it the other way for the score to cut the Blue Hen lead to single digits.
The College couldn't get back to their first quarter scoring efforts as it went scoreless for nearly four minutes in the fourth which led to Delaware taking a 15-point lead with five minutes left to play.
CofC went on a 9-2 run towards the end of the quarter but it just wasn't enough as the Blue Hens held on to win.
